Ash Wednesday Worship
Traditionally, we would hold an Ash Wednesday worship service at the church and impose ashes on foreheads as a sign of repentance and in remembrance of our mortality. Due to on-going precautions during the pandemic, and our not meeting for in-person worship, this service has been pre-recorded. There are several different ways you can view the service…
Google Meet, 12pm
You can join the Ash Wednesday Service at 12pm (virtually) using Google Meet. Click this link (http://meet.google.com/ens-kcoq-bgg) or call 1-262-885-7027, the PIN is 172 874 072#. Note: this is the same Meet used for our Worship Together on Sunday morning.
Today (Tuesday, January 19, 2021) at 5:30pm ET, Franklin United Methodist Church will ring its bell and turn on its lights as part of a national #COVIDMemorial in honor of the lives lost to COVID-19.
You are welcome to light a candle or ring a bell from wherever you are, and join in prayer for those suffering from COVID-19, medical staff, scientists, and others both treating those with COVID-19 and making and distributing vaccines.
Join us Tuesdays at 7:30pm beginning January 5 (2021) as we begin a new video series entitled DreamThinkBeDo. This series provides an overview of progressive Christianity. The series is broken into four, five-week sessions. Each session is self-standing. Drop into the study as you are able from week to week. Here’s an extended overview of the entire 20-week study.
We will begin the first five-week session, “Dream,” on January 5. Here are the study themes:
January 5 Introduction(s)
January 12 “Faith as Journey”
January 19 “Stories of Creation”
January 26 “Reconciliation”
February 2 ”Jesus”
February 9 “Risk”
Each session will begin with a 20-minute video. Videos and study-guides will be made available ahead of each session. Discussions will be based on the study guide and participant insights and questions.
This small group gathering and discussion will be facilitated virtually by Pastor Jacob. All are welcome to attend and participate. You can join our gathering using Google Meet by clicking this link (https://meet.google.com/zxe-kcbu-hxf) or by calling 661-527-2948, the PIN is 883 139 733#.
