Pastor Jacob, on Sunday, March 8, reflected on the journey of the Israelites as they followed God’s command through the wilderness, facing challenges yet witnessing divine provision at every step (see Exodus 17:1-7). See the full reflection below. Much like the congregation of Israelites in the book of Exodus, our church community is embarking on its own journey of faith—a journey that we believe will “define our generation.”
Three years ago, we took a leap of faith with a capital campaign aimed at addressing essential maintenance and future-proofing our church facilities. This journey has seen us set ambitious goals, like raising $300,000 for critical renovations. By God’s grace and the collective efforts of our community, we’ve been making remarkable progress.
Thanks to generous grants and supportive partnerships, including a $100,245 restoration grant from the Town of Franklin and a $75,000 grant for a new commissary kitchen from CHNA-6, we are steadily bringing our vision to life. These improvements are not just for us but for the community at large, enabling us to expand our Community @FranklinUMC programs which have touched over 1,200 lives in the last 18 months!
However, like the Israelites at Rephidim, we face significant challenges ahead. We must navigate financial constraints without compromising the progress we’ve made. Now, more than ever, we need your support to continue this work and ensure the sustainability of our church for future generations.
Your generous donation will help cover upcoming costs and safeguard our reserve funds against unexpected challenges. We believe that with resolve and faith in God’s provision, our community will rise to meet this pivotal moment.
As we move forward together, may we hold fast to our faith, encouraged by the story of Exodus that teaches us to trust in God even when the path seems uncertain. We invite you to be a part of this incredible journey—one that transforms not just our church but impacts the entire community and region around us.
Help us reach our goals and continue the story of faith and community. Your contribution matters. Join us in making a lasting impact.

Below you will find the “Defining Our Generation” phase summary which outlines the various phases we are attempting to work through. We set out to accomplish a lot; and, with the amazing dedication of the church, its ministry partners, and the surrounding community we have ambitiously begun to work through Phases II, III, and part of IV.
We hope you’ll follow the progress. Drive through the parking lot and come inside, especially if you’ve never been inside! We’d love to show you around! If you have any questions or would like to learn more about the campaign or the church, feel free to reach out to Pastor Jacob and/or the Church Office.
