A Huge Thank-You to Our Community Closet Volunteers

This week, twenty community volunteers moved nearly every piece of clothing—whether hanging or in bins—down to the main level of the church. They double‑checked bins, tidied, sorted, and began reorganizing the hanging items.

It was a herculean effort, and it made sorting and shopping today so much easier for our neighbors. Y’all are amazing. Thank you.

What’s Next for the Closet

As construction continues, the Community Closet will remain entirely on the main level of Franklin UMC (82 W. Central Street, Franklin). We will continue serving neighbors:

  • Tuesdays from 12–2 p.m.
  • And by appointment

Donations may be dropped off inside the building:

  • Tuesdays: 9 a.m.–2 p.m.
  • Wednesdays & Thursdays: 9 a.m.–12 p.m.

And if you’re looking for a simple, meaningful way to help, we can always use extra hands sorting clothing during the Closet’s open hours on Tuesdays from 12–2 p.m.

How You Can Support This Work

Your ongoing support—volunteering, donating clothes, spreading the word, or shopping—keeps the Closet and the wider community thriving.

If you’d like to help sustain the Closet financially as we expand accessibility and continue meeting growing community needs, you can make a gift here (you’ll be redirected to our secure giving platform, OnRealm). Every contribution, large or small, directly supports opportunities for neighbors to meet, serve, and share with one another through the Community @FranklinUMC, including the Community Closet.

Thank You for Being Part of This Community

We’re grateful for every person who shows up, gives, serves, or simply cares. If you have questions about how you might meet, serve, or share with your neighbors—or if you just want to chat—don’t hesitate to reach out.

Peace,
Jacob
