The 2025/2026 Community Concert season has come to a close, and what a year it has been! Our sanctuary was filled with music, laughter, and community thanks to the talents of the Jazz Tones Trio, Eric Christensen, Stickman Blue and Kaye Kelly, the Franklin Fathers, Vera Meyer and the Franklin Historical Commission, Michael Rivelis, The Shams, and the Franklin Music Department. Each performance brought something unique and memorable. The diversity of performances this year was incredible. We are deeply grateful for every artist who shared their gifts with their community.
This season was made possible through a generous grant from The United Methodist Foundation of New England. Their support allowed us to offer free concerts to the community while ensuring that our musicians were compensated for their time and artistry.
As we head into a summer break and begin planning for the 2026/2027 season, we’re excited about what’s ahead. This fall, we’ll kick things off with an organ concert and historic hymn sing, supported by a grant from the Franklin Cultural Council. We’re also actively seeking additional bookings—especially artists with Franklin connections. If you know someone who might be interested in performing, please pass along their information or encourage them to reach out.
At Franklin UMC, we are proud to support local artists. We do not ask them to perform for free. Through grants and donations, we’re able to offer a small stipend for each concert, honoring the work that goes into every performance.
If you’d like to help sustain and grow the Community Concert series, we invite you to make a contribution. Your gift—large or small—helps us continue offering free, high‑quality concerts to the community while supporting the artists who make them possible.
You can give online here, or mail a check to the Franklin UMC, PO Box 313, Franklin, MA 02038 with “Community Concerts” in the memo line.
Thank you for attending, clapping, spreading the word, and helping make Franklin a place where the arts flourish. We look forward to seeing you again in the fall.
