We’ve officially crossed the halfway mark of 2026, and what a season it has been. So much has moved, shifted, and grown in the life of Franklin UMC that it’s worth pausing to celebrate before we step into the heart of summer.
Spring Highlights: A Quarter Full of Life
Spring brought a fresh wave of energy to our church—new faces, renewed conversations, and visible progress throughout our building and ministries.
Easter: Our Biggest Community Moment Yet
For the fifth year in a row, Franklin UMC welcomed neighbors to our FREE Community Easter Egg Hunt. This year’s turnout was one of our largest ever, with well over 100 children racing across the lawn in search of eggs. The joy was contagious, and it was made possible by every person who donated candy, stuffed eggs, or volunteered. Thank you for making this tradition a gift to our town.
A Healthy Church: Growing in Purpose
In April, our Church Council leaned into an important conversation: What does it mean to be a healthy church? We named two essential truths:
- A healthy church makes disciples of Jesus Christ.
- A healthy church is financial sustainable and leverages all its assets for the sake of others.
Our Capital Campaign has strengthened the second part—now we’re turning intentionally toward the first. We’ve begun shaping a discipleship pathway rooted in our vision statement, and we’re excited for where this will lead.
Renovations Moving Forward
The Defining Our Generation Capital Campaign continues to move steadily. Drywall and blue board are going in, and we’re pushing hard to complete the lower‑level renovation so Aprende can receive the inspections needed in time for classes to begin in September. Every step forward is a reminder of how your generosity is building a future for our church and our community.
Looking Ahead: Summer at Franklin UMC
Summer often brings a lull in attendance and giving, and that’s normal—rest is holy. But staying connected matters too.
If you’re traveling, you can still join worship online and in-person through Google Meet or watch the livestream later. Meanwhile, Franklin UMC isn’t slowing down. Here’s what continues through the summer:
- Sunday Worship at 10a
- Community Closet open Tuesdays, 12–2p
- Pastor’s Bible Study online Wednesdays, 7–8p (with a short August break)
- Community Cookouts on July 25 and August 29, food served 5:30–6:30p
- Book Club & Lunch Bunch continuing to meet
- Construction progressing throughout the building
Even in the quieter months, our church remains active, welcoming, and full of life.
