The Community Closet @FranklinUMC collects and distributes new and gently used clothing, free of charge, to anyone and everyone in the community.
December Open Hours
The Community Closet will be open for regular hours on Tuesdays, December 3rd and December 17th from 11a-1p and by appointment. If you would like to make an appointment for a time that is more convenient, call the Franklin UMC Office at 508-528-1092 or email [email protected].
Winter Coat Giveaway
The Franklin UMC and New England Chapel have joined together to collect new and gently used coats. On December 14 from 10a-2p, the Community Closet will be open and distributing coats collected to neighbors who want and/or need one. All are welcome to come and pick out a new-to-them coat and some new clothes. We have coats and clothing in sizes from infant to XXL adult.
Opportunities to Give & Volunteer
The Closet is able to open its doors to the entire community thanks to the support its donors and volunteers–people willing to meet, serve, and share with their neighbors.
Donations of gently used clothing can be dropped off inside the main entrance to the Franklin United Methodist Church (82 W. Central St., Franklin) on weekdays between 8a-1p, excluding holidays. All donations can be placed inside the entrance in the marked bin. Donations should NOT be left outside.
Volunteers help sort and store clothing and help neighbors find what they’re looking for (or what they don’t yet know they need!) while shopping. In December, we’re looking for volunteers on the following days/times. Please register by clicking the link and signing up.
