Dear Franklin United Methodist Church members and friends,
For over 150 years, The Franklin United Methodist Church has been a place where people have gathered to nurture a meaningful relationship with God, grow in Christ, and reach out in concern to others. Reaching out in concern currently includes hosting Meals on Wheels’ food distribution, coordinating clothing donations for migrants in Franklin, housing the Aprende Spanish Immersion school, and supporting the Franklin Food Pantry, just to name a few.
Our current capital campaign, “Phase II: Defining our Generation,” seeks to support our ministries above and expand our positive impact in the community. In order to do this, four main areas of work are targeted:
- Sanctuary renovation (ceiling repair, floor repair, organ protection).
- Exterior building restoration (stain exterior siding, repair/paint molding and trim).
- HVAC and Air Quality (updated HVAC, lower-level dehumidify and improve fresh air flow).
- Increase the Endowment.
To achieve these four targeted areas of work, our capital campaign goal is set at $300,000, sizeable but achievable if each of us does our part.
You have been asked over the last several weeks to pray, “God, what do you want to do through me?” We also encourage you to look at the Creative Strategies for Giving brochure here. Now, we are encouraging you to make your commitment. You can make your financial pledge by clicking here. You will find a printable pledge card here that includes an opportunity to write-in your asset-based and “other” contributions. We will be providing a special time in the worship service on March 24 for persons to bring their printed commitment cards forward.
Thank you for helping our church expand its positive impact!
Sincerely,
George Remus, Campaign Director
Rev. Dr. Jacob W. Juncker, Pastor
Every Gift is Important in Helping Us Reach Our Goal
Many people wonder what constitutes an appropriate pledge for them. While this is a deeply personal decision, the chart below illustrates how the simple act of giving regularly and intentionally can make a huge difference in supporting the work of this campaign. Feel free to use the chart below to estimate your three-year commitment to this campaign and see how your pledge fits into our campaign goals. Everyone is encouraged to give at a level that they feel is appropriate.
Pledges allow the church to plan projects in a way that is sustainable. Pledges are not contracts, but rather commitments under circumstances. If you need to alter your pledge, at any time, due to changing circumstances, please notify Pastor Jacob or the Financial Secretary.
