Over the last several months we have been in and out of the sanctuary, worshipping in the vestry (fellowship hall) as we awaited the completed repairs of our sanctuary ceiling. Those repairs are now complete. This Sunday, January 28, we will be returning to the sanctuary!
Please note a few things: 1) we’ve tried to do our best to get everything cleaned up–dusted, mopped, and vacuumed–but there still may be a little dust on the hymnals. It is going to take a while for the dust to settle and us to get it all cleaned up. 2) The organ is scheduled to be reassembled the middle of February. 3) The ceiling project was the first of several projects we hope to accomplish in the sanctuary as part of our upcoming capital campaign. These projects include redoing the flooring in the sanctuary. Until we have refinished the floors, the pews will not be permanently reinstalled. As such, we will be exploring alternative (and temporary) seating arrangements. We are hopeful that the remaining sanctuary projects will be finished during the summer of 2024.
We look forward to welcoming you back into the sanctuary this Sunday, January 28, for worship. You can find information about the service here.
As always if you have any questions about worship, the upcoming capital campaign, what other projects we are considering doing, and/or you just want to chat about faith and the church, reach out to Pastor Jacob at [email protected].
