Dear members and friends of Franklin United Methodist Church,
The number of positive COVID-19 cases continues to be on a downward trend. This is no doubt due in large part to many of you getting your COVID-19 vaccine. If you have not already done so, and you have not had adverse reactions to vaccines in the past, I strongly encourage you to get your shot.
With the continued decline in total positive cases, the relatively low test positivity rate, and under 70% ICU bed occupancy in the Metrowest region, we are all good to go for in-person outdoor worship this Sunday, May 9 (2021), at 10am. It looks like the weather is going to be nice; perhaps, a little chilly. Please dress for the weather. Feel free to bring your own chair or use one of the church’s metal folding chairs. Because this service is outdoors and there are not restrictions on space, there is no need to register for the service. In fact, you’re strongly encouraged to invite a friend or family member or follow up with a church person you haven’t seen in a while and invite them to join you in worship.
As a reminder, COVID protocols remain in effect. All worship participants (over age 3) must wear a mask over their nose and mouth, maintain physical distancing, sanitize hands regularly, and fill out a health questionnaire. There will be no refreshments served following worship. We will share in holy communion.
For those that are unable to gather in-person or are uncomfortable doing so at this time, know that you will be able to join our worship together online. To join the service, simply go to https://meet.google.com/ens-kcoq-bgg or call 1-262-885-7027, the PIN is 172 874 072#.
This Sunday we are continuing our discussion series on the Book of Proverbs. The reflection is entitled, “Don’t be a fool.” I look forward to seeing you in-person or online. As always, if you have questions about our metrics for safer gatherings and/or you just want to chat, do not hesitate to reach out directly to me.
I look forward to seeing you in worship (in-person or online) this Sunday, May 9, at 10am!
Peace.
Jacob
